Here is how it works:
Simply complete some basic personal and banking information by completing and returning a printed authourization form (available online, in the church foyer, or from the church office) to the church. You can be assured that all personal and banking information is completely secure and strictly confidential. The online information system utilizes 128-bit encryption that is the strongest form of data encryption available today.

Determine the frequency and amount of your tithes and offerings to First Baptist Church Melissa. Gifts can either be monthly, twice per month or one-time gifts. The contribution amount and timing can be changed or adjusted at any time, and all gifts will be included on your quarterly contribution statements as in the past. Please note whether the contribution is for General Budget giving or for the Mission Him-Possible Building Program and indicate an amount for each.

Once you have completed the necessary information, First Baptist Church Melissa will process your contribution requests twice per month, on the 5th and 20th. ACH bank transfers will be initiated on these days to deduct the amount of your gift from your designated bank account. All EGiving contributions or changes MUST be completed by midnight of the 3rd or 18th of each month in order to allow the church staff time to process these requests. New contributions or changes received after this time will be processed on the following transfer date.

Your willingness to contribute in this new manner has many benefits to you, as well as First Baptist Church Melissa. EGiving provides you the opportunity to prioritize your budget in addition, scheduled EGiving will strengthen the base of support for First Baptist Church Melissa and allow the church to better plan ministry projects and expenditures.

You can increase your faithfulness by setting consistent giving that will not be forgotten, left at home, or interrupted because of travel or vacations.

You can help the church by expediting your gift and simplifying the accounting of gifts. In addition, scheduled online giving will strengthen the base of support for First Baptist Church Melissa and allow the Church to better plan ministry projects and expenditures.

Q: Is online giving secure?
A: Very secure. Account information is always transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL), a standard protocol used to transmit data securely over the internet. First Bank uses a 128-bit key, or 128-bit encryption. This is the highest level of encryption available today.

Q: When are gifts processed?
A: Gifts to First Baptist Church Melissa are processed on the 5th and 20th of each month. Gifts must be entered midnight of the 3rd and 18th in order to be processed on these dates.

Q: What if I'm not a member of First Baptist Church Melissa but I want to make a donation? Would I still receive a statement for tax purposes?
A: We would be grateful to receive your gift. All givers will receive a Contribution Statement, regardless of membership, sent to the address you entered in the personal information section.

Q: What if I want to cancel or change my online giving?
A: You will simply submit the online EGiving form again. Be sure to check the appropriate statement at the bottom of the form indicating that the giving request is a CHANGE or an ADDITION to your existing recurring giving already on file.

Q: Will my online gifts be included on my Contribution Statement?
A: Yes. All online gifts will be included along with any check contributions received by First Baptist Church Melissa.

Q: How can I get a receipt of my online gifts?
A: Your gift will appear on your Quarterly Statement of Contributions and year end statement.
